Stars shred Thrashers 9-1
On Sunday night the Stars and Thrashers faced off for what was to be a lopsided match. The Thrashers, a team cobbled together by the league from players who hadn't signed contracts with existing teams by the season deadline, managed just seven shots on goal through three periods of play. In the same time the Stars flung the puck into the crease 43 times. Certainly a workout for their substitute goal keeper.
The Thrashers slogged their way through the match, never completely giving up, but never able to add more than 1 goal to the tally.
A salute to the underdog Thrashers...
I was unable to obtain a take-home copy of the scoresheet from Sunday's match yet again and the photographic memory isn't working like it used to, so stats updates will be delayed until I can get a copy.

Way to go Stars. My research
Way to go Stars. My research to the far reaches of Deutschland have resolved in zero prospects. But, my liver seems to be in desperate need of a break. The constant over indulgence in fine German beverages has left your European Scout in dire straights. But, as a true Frederick Star I have answered the call and continue to display the intestinal fortitude in ensuring all German establishments have the finest "Parking Lot" beverages. Negotiations are ongoing in obtaining a possible sample to be examined with the utmost in unbiased opinion on the validity on who makes the best "friggin" beer!
So, far boys, it does not look good for the the good Ol Red, White and Blue nor the Green, Gold, and White of the STARS!!!
But, fear not my established Hockey mates I will not let you down as I continue to identify which beverage is better. German or American!!!
BTW, way to go on your crushing skills in shutting down the Thrashers and hopefully I will return from my scouting endeavor to further solidify our dominance as the best solid water sport inFrederick County !!
As they say over here inGermany . Ein more Bier!!!!!
Go STARS!!!!
